Have you always wanted to dance in a choreography by Conny Janssen? This is your chance to be involved as a dancer in the succesfull performance ‘HOME’, with which the company toured in 2017 and 2021. Do you have at least 3 years of dance experience? Are you 16 years or older? Then please continue reading.
From September 2 to October 14, 2024, HUIS Conny Janssen Danst offers a choreography course in which you work towards your own short version of ‘HOME’ in 6 rehearsals. You will work with teacher and dancer Laura Costa in the studio of Conny Janssen Danst with the dance material and the working methods of the performance. You also create your own frases and learn from the creative contributions of your fellow students. During the final rehearsal, Sophie Tukker – dancer in HOME in 2021 – will prepare you for the performance evening.
Performance
You will perform the result of this choreography course on Monday evening, October 14, 2024, in the theater studio of HUIS Conny Janssen Danst. You can invite your own guests to come and watch.

After you are registred you will receive a link to the film registration of HOME performed by Conny Janssen Danst, so that you can enjoy this performance at home and be inspired by the dancers of the company.

About HOME
HOME is the successful performance from 2017 and revolves around the question of what ‘home’ means. It is often more than stones, more than a physical space. What makes you feel at home, where are you at home? Is it a place, the people around you, or is it a sense of belonging? The music in HOME was composed by soundscape artist Michel Banabila and cellist Maarten Vos.
